Mario Quiz Cards!!??
These cards were actually officially licensed by Nintendo and designed to be educational trivia cards, geared towards children and young students.
The cards were manufactured by Atlas Editions and a publishing company called Newfield Publications.
The cards had a format where they would show a bubble with Super Mario characters doing something related to the trivia question being asked.
Some images had Mario, Luigi and the others performing actions that Nintendo would normally never allow them to do in the games.
For example, there is a card that shows Luigi reading a history book in a card that asks when the Nazi German dictator Adolf Hitler rose to power.
"Wasn't in your bingo card today was it?"
This is a very interesting piece of video game history, and I am very happy to have received this. We may do a video on these cards soon, and share that with you all on our Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts.
Hope you guys enjoyed this quick segment, and enjoyed learning about this items existence. We love sharing old video game and toy history!
